Good physical game so far. Caps have done a good job defending an aggressive forecheck. Need more points today.

Nice team effort today against Toronto. Great way to finish up a subpar homestand. Hopefully, they can keep the momentum going on this upcoming road trip.

3 wins in a row gives them a little breathing room for the 8th seed and still has them close to Florida for the Division title, hooray for the caps being in a mediocre division! Now comes a very difficult 5 game road trip. If they can get at least 2 wins here they'll be in decent shape, 3 would be great. Green has to sit out one more game, but he needs to step it up when he gets back, I don't think he's even registered a point since returning from injury, that needs to change.

Big win on Monday night against the Wings. I watched most of it, I was ready to go to bed but once Detroit cut it to 1 I had to watch the rest to see if they held on. Much needed 2 points there. Caps currently sit in 8th with 9 games to go. They've got a 2 point lead on the Sabres (these 2 play each other b4 the season ends) and a 4 point lead over Winnipeg. I'm not sure if they are going to be able to catch Florida at this point as the Panthers have a 5 point lead on us and a game in hand. If the Caps wind up with the 8 seed they may wind up facing the red hot Pens who are a point behind the Rangers for the #1 seed.

I have a bad feeling they are gonna regret not putting that game away last night. Tough, tough loss. Hopefully they can shake it off and get back on the winning track tomorrow night against Minnesota at home.

They are saving the drama for Tuesday night against Buffalo head to head because they know I'm going to be there. It will be a game 7 atmosphere for sure.

I actually had plans to go see the Hunger Games with the wife not really paying attention to the schedule and then I was checking who the last stretch of games were against and said oh....hmmmm...maybe we should actually GO to this one. Dinner reservations at Clyde's and fighting for our playoff lives. Not a shabby Tuesday.

Must win yesterday, nice to see them get a lead and hold onto it. Goalie Controversy brewing, Vokoun's still hurt and Neuvy has been so so lately and here comes Holtby who's been looking good. If they make the playoffs I'll be curious to see who gets the nod in the net. Ovie continues his strong play. He's finally looking like vintage Ovie out there on the ice, if Backstrom can come back that's only going to help out Ovechkin even more. Someone who hasn't shown their vintage form at all has been Mike Green. I figured it would take him some time to get going after being hurt again, but I would've thought that by now he would be contributing more so than he is. I think he's only got a couple of points since returning. I'm not sure if he's being tentative for fear of re-injuring himself or what but he needs to step it up.

This team can't handle the puck very well and plays with no passion. Plus, they won't come close to winning a cup without a legit goalie.
