It's almost as if Kevin didn't even think about what I wanted when he made this decision. Disgusting.

(at least at first) when Tony and my buddy John kept pushing my articles on you guys, but it made me so happy when you guys would mention that you liked what I was saying (or if you disagreed, you at least appreciated the time I spent on the argument).
OH game plan: start dissing KVV's work-->lower his confidence-->he has to return to the Sun.

    Who's in?

Grantland -- for the most part -- is trying to keep things separate from the Magazine to establish its own identity, from what I understand.
It's a shame they passed on you. I think you would have been a perfect compliment to their current NFL writer (Barnwell), who seems to excel at analyzing games from the statistical perspective, but consistently misses the point in every other regard. As a regular grantland reader, I can't think of a writer who would better fit with what they are doing over there.

In any case, I have no doubt you will kick ass in whatever espn has you do. Congrats!

btownoriole, there is a part of me that is tempted to pitch that idea to Tony. You pay $5 for the whole season, and you get 16 columns of Five Things We Learned here at O's hangout! It's like 31 cents a column! If you get 2,000 people to sign up, suddenly it's worth my time to do it. But it would never be as good as it was, because I couldn't follow the Ravens like I did when I was in the locker room and asking questions behind the scenes, and I'd feel like I was cheating people. I might have to adopt the Ravens as my favorite team though, so I can come on here and argue about Flacco from a fan's point of view.
Kevin, get a hold of me and we can talk. If there is anyway we can still read your five things we'd be happy to help out.

This isn't something you would do if you were shutting the board down. Right?
