According to Testudo Times, all of MD's verbal commitments signed LOI's except for Dallas Griffiths, a LB out of Florida, who switched to Liberty of all places.

Korren Kirven commits to Alabama, leaving basically DJ Reader and Stefon Diggs as the "big fish" left, though it sounds like both are unlikely (Reader leaning Clemson, and Diggs, well, just don't see us landing a top 10 recruit just yet).

I've read that Diggs likely won't be announcing his decision today. I am still keeping my hopes alive.

Reader stuck with Clemson. Diggs plans to announce Feb 10. Heard he will be visiting UM for the UNC game this weekend. The fact that he seemed all but certain to sign with Florida a few days ago is certainly reason for optimism. Still, I just can't hold my breath at this point.

Diggs or no, I think it's a decent class when you consider all of the turmoil that has surrounded the program. The additions of Reid and Brown late made a huge difference, even if it's mostly perception. Although I really would have liked to see some D-linemen in this class to boost the weakest unit on the team. It doesn't look like we can expect any sort of upgrades there this season or in the near future. Braglio is the only DL listed in this class, but at 235 lbs he may be destined for OLB in the 3-4 defense they plan to run.

Even if Diggs does not commit, where our recruiting class is considering how our season ended is pretty special. Locksley did some crazy work. Give him a full year to recruit, with hopefully a better product to recruit to, and we should see some pretty cool things this upcoming recruiting season.

I heard he's having a visit at MD this weekend for the UNC game. Hopefully he has a good time. This is the type of signing that SEC schools take for granted but a guy like Diggs could really help us out. He'd be our second biggest recruit ever and the biggest recruit to not land in prison prior to suiting up (I hope).

I still have faith. I'll be watching the announcement at Bar Louie in DC.

So he's only announcing on CSN Washington? Or it's a network feed that's picked up by CSN and will also be shown on other RSNs? Because if it's only on CSN Wash that would seem to be in MD's favor....since most of the other schools he's considering don't get that station in their area.

That's what I thought. He's clearly the best prospect remaining. He could definitely announce on ESPNU if he wanted to. But, he's deciding to announce on CSN Washington. Seems like a possible good sign to me. He also was wearing a Maryland t-shirt when he came to visit during the UNC game. I've never seen another recruit do that either. Of course, all of that could mean nothing.

Yeah, I don't put much into the shirt thing. But it would be highly unusual to announce your college choice on a DMV-area sports network to say you're going to Florida or Auburn.

Yeah, none of this could possibly be a bad sign. Whether it's a good sign or just meaningless remains to be seen.
