I have this nagging feeling that moving Guts before arb was a decision made thinking it would not be that difficult if the demands were reasonable (i.e., Hammel, Lindstrom and Young) but what happened is none of the offers were.

Hammel, Lindstrom and Young would have been more palatable as Young may end up being decent but Colorado held out... (and it worked). I tend to believe this was actually the best offer but the acceptance seems panicky and does not feel like there was a worst case scenario not considered....
