    I think you're close to being right here. I think Bader felt the need to post because Tony has had this thread up for over a week hinting at changes while talking about how the O's had "reached a new low". It was a good idea to get out in front of this, though he probably could of just said the O's had made significant contributions.

    I do find it funny that people are calling Bader unprofessional but no one has said anything about Tony's personal attacks of Bader. I don't have a dog in this fight but I think both men could've been more mature in this thread.

    It's obvious to me that if Mr. Bader and the rest of the O's front office think the fans should really fall for the false myth that Ownership is trying their best to put a winning product on the field...well those folks in the Warehouse just need analysis from a serious therapist.

    I know of one such man!

    I know some of you guys aren't the biggest fans of WNST (I'm not always a fan of their methods, but I still respect them and I'm friends with Nestor on Facebook), but I shared the link to this thread with Nestor. I know both him and Glenn have commented on it already on Twitter.

    For those of us who don't tweet, what are they saying? Are they taking the "I told ya so" approach, or are they using it to rightfully bash the Orioles for turning on one of their greatest supporters?

    Here's what I saw...

    @WNST
    Glenn: I have a great friend involved with OH. I reminded him today that #Orioles want to win "battles" because they can't win games...
    @WNST
    Nestor: Orioles PR department continues to be run by dumb... and dumber! Angelos continues war on everything he can't control & abused fans
    @WNST
    Drew: Spent 20 minutes this morning talking about the #Orioles/#OriolesHangout saga. Feel bad for OH but that's what the O's do.

    What they don't seem to get is anything negative is always going to be looked at as their fault...as it should be.

    Let me tell you all something...when I worked down there, we were told ALL THE TIME, by other team's fans that the customer service from the Orioles is way better than any other team. Whether its ticket exchanges or discounts or just service, the Orioles were always considered better according to other team's fans.

    Now, I am not sure if its still like that or not but they did do a good job of that.

    Now, being good at customer service and having a real connection to your fans are 2 different things.

    I do not think the Orioles understand that and it starts at the top.

    All the Orioles have to do is look across the street at the other pro sports team. Look at how they conduct themselves. I mean, after the season and after heartbreaking losses, their owner gets in front of the media and speaks frankly and honestly about his team.

    The Orioles owner? He has been no where to be found for years.

    Right now, this is a Ravens town and its not close. But I have little doubt that if the Orioles were winning that it would be, at the very least, an equal baseball/football town and if anything, I think it would be more on the baseball side.

    The Orioles don't get this...they get none of it. They are just completely out of touch.
    This is Raven town. Today's Sun has two articles on the Ravens and two on Maryland football. Two are on the front page. The Orioles are on page four and have a little article on the bottom of the page. I know that Orioles people like to read the OH. Also some of the guys on the Sales side are on your side Tony.The Orioles just do things to piss off the few remaining fans left. I guess when they are gone in ten years or less ,we can complain about the Nats.

    I want to thank everyone for their opinion. I've received some great advice over the last 24 hours from everyone from friends, family, long time Hangouters, people in the business, and given an ESPN executive who I didn't know posts on here. I think everyone had there say and I appreciate the support and understanding of the situation. For now, I will close down this thread since I will post the way ahead. Overall though, I'm ready to move on and I'm sure most of you are too.

    So the Orioles can waste millions of dollars on has been players that can no longer make any impact ...But they cant afford to pay for advertising here. RIDICULOUS!

    Mr Angelos and his mouth piece here .... Please sell the team ...You are the biggest anchor in major league sports.

    You might be a smart lawyer ...But all you've done as a owner is ruin a storied franchise.
