Ricky Williams to retire

If I am Ozzie, I tell him to ***** or get off the pot. The Ravens have to prepare their team and salary cap and having to wait for Williams to decide if he wants to come back delays that process. His production is replaceable and he wasn't as good as I had hoped so I would move on.

The Ravens are def planning on moving on however Ricky would still be under contract to us at a reasonable price should he want to return. If that happens I think the Ravens would probably welcome him back provided it wasn;t too late and they hadn't already signed a replacement for him.

Curiously, and I was wondering this with Peyton too. How do Incentives work? He had a $1 mill in incentives on top of his deal, but it was never made clear what they were for. How does that work in cap space world?

Also because Peyton has said he's willing to do a incentive based contract moving forward. Is this just added to the cap at the end of the year?

I think Tolbert probably gets more money from other teams like McClain. I also think we can use our cap space better than that.

I would like to see Allen also. He has (reportedly) a more bruising style that would complement Rice and maybe be valuable in short yardage. The rub is "could he replace Rice in the case of injury"? I'd be just a little uncomfortable with an unproven late rounder carrying the rock 20+ times per game. Tolbert looks like a good choice (if the $ is right) with all three (Rice, Allen and Tolbert) as our RB corps?
