Didn't get to watch the game, had to follow on-line. How close were we to losing it at the end? Gametracker showed a missed 3-pointer at the buzzer but didn't say where on the court it was from.

I thought that at first too but then, when I saw a brief replay, it looked like he may have gotten it off. I only saw the replay once though, so you may be right... did they show a better replay on ESPNU? I only caught the tail end on one of the ESPN channels in between other games.
I think there was a disparity between the ESPN clock and the real one. Here's a pic - backboard lit red, ball still in hand:

It was a mess at the end. Clock showed 1.3 at the first inbound, which Moseley tried to catch and went out of bounds! On the second try the clock was 1.7 for some reason. The broadcast never made mention of the shot being late IIRC.
Weijs got a decent number of minutes especially in the first half. I was wondering whether there was a reason Turgeon might be trying to rest Len. Weijs wasn't particularly good. In a bubble, this game had me wondering whether he can play at an ACC level. The moment that bothered me most, though, was Howard showing open frustration with Weijs when he missed a nice pass from Howard.
Howard had a really poor game. There were numerous times he, as the PG, should've been going to the ball to help a teammate, yet he was standing and waiting. There were a few occasions where he picked up his own dribble at odd times and got himself stuck. He showed frustration with teammates on a couple occasions. Down the stretch, he missed the front end of a 1-and-1 twice. Up by three with, what, a minute left?... he got caught in the air and fouled to put Clemson at the line for three shots.
Mosley had a really good game and Stoglin was far and away the best player on the court. Padgett and Pankey were functional and Faust was active despite little production.

The Terps played great in spreading the lead up to 14. It was mostly just hot shooting from the outside, but they did earn the good looks that lead to the hot shooting.
Then they played like complete crap in letting Clemson back into it.
Lets be completely honest, Pe isn't that good. If we had a good PG we'd probably have a few more ACC wins. Unfornuately, it doesn't seem any help is on the way anytime soon. Allen is more of a combo guard and I've heard the same about Cassell Jr(if he were to come). Apparently, we are in the mix for numerous '13 PGs ranked pretty highly but it will be torture the rest of this year and next year if we don't find improved PG play.

In all honesty, if Faust were to step up his offensive game, I think Stoglin would be a fine PG. Yes, he would be more shoot first than a traditional PG, but he demands so much attention that he can find other players when needed. I think currently, he's a little more selfish with the ball because I'm sure somewhere in his head he knows he's really the only talented offensive player.
Weijs is an okay player and all, but does he ever catch a ball cleanly? He seems to have decent instincts, but the wind is able to blow him over and he only cleanly catches about 20% of the passes that come his way.
All in all, this team has a really bright future. If Stoglin hangs around for all 4 years, he could be a special player, ala Vasquez. Maybe Pe' is just a backup PG, I'm not sure yet. Faust has been better for sure, I think he'll make big strides next year. Len will only get better. Layman and Cleare arrive next year.
Bottom line, even if we most likely don't make the tournament this year, I think the groundwork is being laid for a lot of future success.
Faust did have a pretty nice dunk in the game. I was hoping that would get him going a little offensively. I cringe everytime he touches the ball.
