    Howard out for season?

Aside from the buzz surrounding the potential Diggs commit in football today, rumors started to swirl that Howard suffered a knee injury in yesterdays practice and could potentially be lost for the season.

Mark Turgeon says #Terps guard Pe'Shon Howard has a torn ACL, will require six months of recovery. More to come.
That's a shame...his season ends the way it started.

Of course, I feel terrible for Pe'Shon and wish him a speedy recovery, but this might actually be good for the team in some ways now. He really was playing terribly and turning the ball over a heck of a lot. I won't really mind if Stoglin has the ball more now.

As long as he shares it with his teammates and gets/keeps everyone involved with the offense. Stoglin can still be the primary scorer but if everyone else figures that once Stoglin gets the ball that is the end of the ball movement then the offense is going to deteriorate overall. If he plays like he did against Clemson, that would be great.

Even though he has not played great he is a huge loss. We don't have a very deep team and the point is our thinnest spot. Makes it a tough go the rest of the season.

This hurts, losing Pe'Shon is a major blow to this team. Now we are stuck with Stoglin and Faust running the point from what I heard earlier, I personally would rather see Mosley at point. But it's next man up and hopefully Nicks time to shine. I understand he's still a Freshman and still learning , but he has to stop driving and doing stupid dump offs that the other team steals.

Sean is going to have to play a major upfront role in the offense. That will be the key from here on out.

Best of luck to Peshon. He may not be readt yo go by next Nov though and as has been mentioned he was struggling this year as it was. It makes it all the more important to bring in someone who can run the point for next year. Stoglin should be off the ball and Faust isn't anything close to a PG. Also, we have no idea how good Seth Allen is but the consensus seems to be he is a combo guard, with a lean towards more of a 2 than a PG.

I really like Howard. He was only going to get better as the season went on and he got his legs back more and more.

Tough loss for MD, especially going into the Duke game, where Howard could help exploit some of Duke's perimeter defense weakness.

Yesterday proved that we need Pe'Shon, or some other PG running the point. I think Pe played well below average this year, but I would rather have him running the point the Stogs.

It is definitely going to be tough for the Terps to run an efficient offense from here on out without another capable true PG on their roster. Hopefully the freshman grow up quick.
