Looks like the Pirates were initially interested now they may have met a snag. In another article I came across (ESPN New York) the Yankees were looking to get a DH back for Burnett.

Sorry...this is the link I was referring to. It pretty much says the Yankees were interested in signing a free agent DH...but if they can trade Burnett for a DH, that'd be better. Looks like there's a few clubs they're having talks with.
I'd take AJ in a heartbeat. He'd instantly be our Opening Day starter....
...and I don't mean that to be a good thing.
I would take him too and outside of an injury, I really do think that he would help us. I do not know who the Orioles expect to sign here in the next couple of years, but good luck getting them to do it for roughly 3/$21M. Burnett is from here too. It just makes too much sense for us to think that we would actually do it.
Apparently, Burnett took a pitch off his face on a failed bunt attempt and may miss the season.
