Would the Ravens have any interest???
The Ravens are way too smart for that.
I would, but Newsome and Harbaugh won't.
I think it's a low-risk, high-reward move. You sign him to an incentive-laden deal, give him a chance to win a ring, and if he starts to become a problem, cut him the first chance you get and you still have Boldin and Smith ready to go.
I am not saying they must do this, but I can see the logic behind it. It's not like we want him to be the answer for 5 years. Possibly, just one.
I don't really want him here, but that deep ball to Smith that he seemed to lose in the lights and not get under in the Pats game is one that I think Moss would pull in.
But there isn't a chance the Ravens bring in a guy like this, IMO. Not a chance. Not saying I wouldn't like to see it though.
Lee Evans is better at this point.
No link but John Clayton said earlier on espn radio that he thought the ravens were the best fit for Moss. No idea if that means he has heard anything though.
If Ozzie decides to try this.....I'll trust his decision. My opinion is that Moss has been in a recliner for year (not physically) and may not be in the shape he would need to perform "like Randy"
Edit: The first sign of "taking plays off" or otherwise becoming a problem child on Moss' part and Harbs will send him packing....no doubt.
Moss was awful the last time he played.
What we need to know is does Moss have his speed?
If he doesn't, you don't even think about this.
I have always hated Randy Moss's character, but have always respected him on the football field. I dont think anybody can hate the guy on the field atleast from what he produces for the team on the field, maybe not so much his touchdown celebrations or sideline blow up's. What do we have to loose if we bring him in for a tryout???? Cam has always wanted a big pshysical reciever for the red zone and he has said he can run a 4.35-4.38 40 yard dash. A one year deal wouldn't hurt if he shows he can still play at a high level.
