    I also saw his induction, same day as Eddie's. He was a great player and a good ambassador of the game. RIP.

    Always liked him. Wasn't he the run that scored on Mookie's dribbler between Bad Bill's legs? I remember watching that game so vividly. I wish I still felt that way about baseball.

    That was soon-to-be Oriole Ray Knight. Carter had scored the first run of the inning, to make it 5-4. Kevin Mitchell scored the tying run on the wild pitch.

    Sucks even more that another piece of baseball in Montreal slipped away. I'm sure the Nats will have a moment of silence or something, but as nice a gesture as that would be Gary Carter had nothing to do with Washington.
