    minor league standings

How do you think our farm systems will do?

I believe delmarva ends up in 3rd place
Frederick makes a run for the repeat title
norfolk improves slightly but stills ends up in last
    Bowie makes the playoffs

I am sure I am forgetting a few

No idea whatsoever. The O's have a relatively poor minor league talent base, so I'd assume the system will not do well as a whole. But the organizations and MLB doesn't care at all about minor league standings and pennant races, so why should we?

    I think:

Norfolk should be greatly improved. This may not be saying much since they were terrible last year, but they should be better. Much of the "cavalry" looks alsted for down there and they've made some nice depth pickups who will play there (like Beerer, Nick Johnson, Tolleson, Socolovich, Link, Neshek, etc.). I'm also hoping fro good things from some of the internal players who should get promoted, like Mahoney.

I think Bowie will compete for the playoffs, much like last year. There should be several players coming up from Frederick's chamionship team, including Ward, Townsend, Drake, and Bundy. The front office has added some intereting pieces in Adair, Cruz, Loomis, and Hinton. I'm hoping Klein can get healthy as well at some point. I think this team will compete nicely.

I think some of Frederick's chances of repeating will rest on how long Machado and Schoop stay doen there before being promoted. Health will also be a big factor for guys like Mummey and Schrader. I'm hoping they put Esposite here, and he could be interesting to watch as well.

Delmarva should have some great pitching, especially if Dylan Bundy is placed here. In addition, the O's had several high draft pick pitcher last year, several of whom should be assigned to Delmarva. I think tehe question will be their hitting. The guys coming up from Aberdeen didn't look too good as a whole and anyone good from last year's Shorebirds team will likely get promoted. Some relief could come if Delmonico is assigned here as well as Lino.

It's hard to say much about Aberdeen because so much of its composition will come form the next draft. That being said, the pitching should be interesting especially if some of the guys from last year's GCL team don't make Delmarva (guys like Esquivel, Rodriguez, Vader, Coffey). They'll be worth watching. I'm hoping they draft some hitters.

I think the GCL will be good since many of the players from the DSL league should move up and the DSL team did quite well last year (e.g. Veloz, Mercedes, Severino, Louico). In addition, there are a few pitchers we drafted last year who didn't play and will likely start here (like Davies and McCracken, and Parry barely played).

You have a right not to care but I do and the reason I care is because I actually enjoy going to see the games and it is our future regardless of how good or bad they may be but that is just me.
