God, ESPN beats stories to death.
I'm interested to hear what Brett Favre has to say.
Still more sick of Tim Tebow than Lin, although day after day the line's start to draw closer.
Lin is the story that has least bugged me the least, it's really amazing what he's doing. But the constant talk of Tebow all season, and Peyton now is just driving me nuts. Let us know when there's an actual update.
I got rid of cable, but local radio is talking about Lin a lot. Not as much as they talked about Tebow though.
What kills me is that nothing Lin can do will match the hype. It's a good story that is so ubiquitous I want the poor kid to fail just so I don't have to hear the Lin puns anymore. He could put up numbers like Oscar Robinson and he still won't escape the pressure he'll be under from now on. When does ESPN finally realize that everyone with electricity in their house has heard 15 different Lin puns and finally shut the $&@! up about it?
I like the Lin story, but the other day on Mike & Mike that was practically all they talked about. It's simply not something that should occupy 75% of the air time on a national sports radio show (24.9% of the rest going to Manning, of course).
Don't they realize that the Orioles' pitchers are reporting to camp tomorrow?![]()
I can't vote for Tebow?????
Certainly the media will beat the Lin story to death, because he plays in New York after all. If he played for Oklahoma City, you'd never hear of him. But it's still an awesome story b/c in basketball, stars don't come from nowhere like that.
Yeah. I like Mike & Mike a lot, but they're obviously driven by the network's 'hot topics' more than other national shows appear to be. If it's hot on ESPN, it'll be hot on M&M. Luckily, I enjoy the local morning show too, so I can switch between when one gets too single-minded for my tastes.
Brett Favre, Tim Tebow.

If Jeremy Lin dunked on Lebron in a Yankees cap, and then celebrated by Tebowing in front of Brett Favre, would ESPN explode?
