    MLB.com TV

So for the past few years I've had the audio subscription to MLB.com which has been nice because I only get MASN (I don't get MASN2). For Christmas I got a blu-ray player that can play MLB.com. I was thinking about getting the video package so I could see all of the games. If I got that, would I also get MLB network content or is that different?

It's different. I had a free 1-month trial of MLB.TV last year, and it's just the game feeds (home AND away). I may get it again this season, only for the whole season this time.

It's just the game feeds (both live and archived) and some highlights. But if you're in the Orioles market, which it appears you are, you will be blacked out and won't be able to see any of their games.

Yeah...this is the thing you need to worry about. If you get the subscription, you'll still get the radio for the games blacked out as well as other teams' games that aren't in the market, but you won't be able to get O's games on TV.

If you wind up just getting the audio again and have an iPhone or Android, you should just get the MLB At-Bat 12 app that hasn't come out yet (I believe). With that app (it's like $15), you get audio for all the games, so it's really a bargain. Then you just have to hook up your phone to speakers (and obviously use WIFI if your phone has a data limit), and you have yourself a nice little set-up.

Actually they changed it a bit this year.

    * PORTABILITY TO MOBILE: 2012 MLB.TV is not portable to mobile devices. To access MLB.TV on your smartphone or tablet using the MLB.com At Bat 2012 application, please upgrade to 2012 MLB.TV Premium.

NEW 2012 MLB.TV PREMIUM FEATURES: MLB.com At Bat 12, the top-ranked sports app in the Apple App Store and recent inductee into the Macworld App Hall of Fame, is now included with your subscription (separate purchase not required). Enjoy complete mobile portability to iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and most Android phones and tablets (a $14.99 value). Simply download the MLB.com At Bat 12 app to your supported smartphone or tablet and log-in with your MLB.TV username and password to access live and on-demand baseball.
This is for a premium subscription. So if you get the $125 package, its included. The $100 package does not include it. I was going to get the app anyway, so I upgraded to the premium. I'm unsure if you will be able to use the app on your phone with the regular subscription. This info is from an email I got today.

That's good to know, though I doubt it will change my plans to get mlb.tv monthly for April, May, and September as well as the app. It will still be cheaper that way for me. Either way, you can buy the app separately and get free audio for the entire season with it from what I can tell.

I'm definitely doing MLB.TV Premium this year, especially now that I'm in the tablet game. There will be so many afternoon's made so much easier at work by being able to watch matinee baseball on my tablet.

Now if I could just find a way to manipulate my IP address to forego the stupid black out rules.

Premium really looks like a good deal this year. I was always annoyed about how they nickel-and-dimed you for each device you wanted to watch/listen on. Now it's one price for the phone, tablet, video game console and PC. Totally worth it for me.
