What Would Texas Take for Koji?

It seems as though he really wants back here and not anywhere else. Wonder how little would Texas take if we took on his salary?

Eat his contract? That doesn't make sense. The orioles signed him to the contract he performed well for the orioles at that salary. Why do the orioles think that texas should pay his salary while he pitches for the orioles? The management of the orioles does not deal with reality.

We were willing to pay his salary when we signed him. I think we should be willling to pay it now. I don't see how this is a problem. The move wasn't a salary dump move last summer. We got a nice group of players in return. To me, the salary relief was a bonus. Clearly, signing Vlad and Gregg to their contracts meant this team was not worried about avoiding taking on salary. Hell, we gave Vlad an extra $2M with nobody bidding against us for his services. If the club wants Koji back, we'll get him.

Why do the O's need to pay 4 M for a RP. They already are stuck with Gregg's salary, plus Lindstrom's. We could use Koji but not at that price. TEX wants to move him to free up salary. So it's not a good fit. I think your struggles with reality exceeds eventhat of the O''s FO.

I'm guessing that Texas would want 2 B prospects in return. I don't see how any of our fringe players without options (i.e. Simon) could make the Rangers 25 man roster.

Koji isn't coming back. No money, no need.

    Free Uehara!

Really hope they figure out how to make this work. But even if they don't, when Koji (hopefully) visits the stadium next season, he deserves a hero's welcome.

I like that the Rangers are trying to trade Koji Uehara so they can sign Mike Gonzalez. Bizarro world!

If the orioles didn't think he was worth 4 mil then why sign it to him? Why compare him to relief pitchers that he is better than? Why would texas trade him to the orioles if the orioles want them to pay his salary and not give any quality players in return? That makes no sense at all.

You do read, right? Texas wants the ORIOLES to pay his salary.

I think if we took a poll, everyone here would choose Koji over Gregg. It's just a matter of how you get rid of Gregg.
