I know there is a long thread about this but this puts a number on it.
Ya gotta add "if healthy" to the Peyton option. I know it it implied, but no one knows. What I don't want to do is give away a ton of picks for a "boom or bust" RGIII. I'd sure take him at @6 though, but that ain't happening. I'd draft Brandon Weeden as well.
Robert Griffin
It's so hard for Redskins fans to stay away from teh Kook Aid. I am one of them. The team is pretty close to being a good team, but they are in desperate need of a QB. RG3 is tantalizing, but I would not give up that many HIGH draft picks for a slash QB. Then again, I didn't think Cam Newton was going to be very good, and he showed me (and a lot of others) wrong.
If a healthy Peyton Manning could be signed to a pay-to-play deal, I'd be all over it. No wa would I give up that many picks in a draft this deep.
Do what it takes to get RG3. I just don't care anymore.
After watching years of guys like Ramsey, Rob Johnson, Tony Banks, Jeff George, Shane Matthews, Danny Wuerffel, Jason Campbell, Mark Brunell,Todd Collins, Rex Grossman and a banged up, washed up, over the hill Donovan McNabb....I simply do not care anymore.
Do whatever it takes to get a real QB in here with a ton of upside. I really wonder what the Redskins would have been like over the years if we had a good quarterback. We've had some good defenses go to waste simply because we cannot put points on the board.
RG3 or bust. Nothing else is acceptable, IMO.
Hail to the redskins, hail victory, braves on the warpath, fight for RG3!!!!!!!
