Wait, why would MASN be blacked out in California?
Great stuff guys. Thanks to everyone for helping me crawl out from under my rock.
I found the ports you are referring to Michael and the cable is on its way.
The Roku unit looks pretty cool. Does it make a big difference in the stream, or should the HDMI cable be enough?
If you want to go slightly cheaper, you could go with this Roku model, which only costs $50 instead of $100. It's still HD, although 720p instead of 1080p (my guess is that MASN broadcasts in 720p, anyway). I'd throw in a $4 HDMI cable to hook the Roku up to your TV. Like Weams said, depending on the age of your laptop/desktop computer, it may not have an HDMI out port to hook up to your TV, so Roku would definitely be a better option.

Roku comparisons, range from $50-100.
Sometimes those devices have connectivity issues based on the quality of your router and some other factors (streaming that much media causes bouncing/choppy issues). Hooking the Roku or whatever device directly into the router sometimes helps. I had a TON of issues with this at the beginning of last season, and after extensive googling I found that others did as well.
I doubt you'll have any problems, but just something to keep in mind.
Wait. Why can't folks just order the MLB package and watch the games using that?
You can, but there are times with that where they don't show *every* game. Plus its usually more expensive by 50 or so dollars, and you can't take it mobile.
I've had both, and I definitely prefer the mlb.tv over getting it through Comcast or DTV. Something as simple as being able to take a walk and listen to Joe Angel on my iPhone makes all the difference.
