    Red Dead Redemption

Ok, I've been critical of this game and I was on the record as being disappointed. Everyone kept saying how good it was and I just got bored of it quickly. However, with my new found time thanks to not having to cover the Orioles, i decided to give this game another shot...and now................ I'm fairly addicted.

I still keep getting killed by packs of Wolves too often and if I accidentally get to close to a woman who "asks for help" and get killed by the four guys waiting, I'm going to blow a gasket, but I am getting much better overall.

I kinda like lassoing guys and then taking them back for bounties instead of just killing them. More money and a little more challenging. The game did lock up one time on me and I lost about a 1/2 of work, but overall I'm enjoying this game.

So mea culpa on this game...

What a long and extensive game. I'm like 45% through, in Mexico and I still feel like I have ton more to go. BTW, I'm addicted to player liar's dice. I actually want to play this with my friends now!

I felt the same way, it's a fun distraction. I loved this game and can't wait for the next edition.

Lucky Jim's recommendation was the greatest thing he's ever written. Better than all of his pansy poetry and stuff.

Kinda unrelated but I saw in one of the other discussions about this game someone recommended LA Noire too, I picked that up for $7 bucks the other day but I haven't played it yet. I've found people's reviews on here to be really helpful though.

I gave this a second chance after I didn't initially like it because of the reviews here. I was like, "Maybe I missed something."

    I did.

I've gotten pretty good at using my dead eye, dueling, and of course I'm nails at liar's dice. Now if I can only find those damn beavers so I can help the guy with the plane. I heard they are down in Tall Oaks or something like that.

It still irks me that you can't sleep with a working woman. And not because I really want to watch a pixelated carriage rock back and forth or whatever the analog is for what thy do in the GTA games, but because the game feels like it wants you to be able to play to whatever level of morality you want to, killing whomever you wish, but when it comes to stepping out on your wife, it's a no-no?

    Thar be spoils ahead!
And even if you want to hardcode it into his character, there's no real reason to not allow it after you complete the main story.

I said that originally as well, but the game is so good besides that little morality play, I'm willing to overlook that fact.

I re-played this game around Christmas up to about 42%. Such an amazing game. I know I am wrong when I say it but its probably the most complete game ever made. I don't think I ever officially beat it, not to 100%. I am awful at video games and I enjoyed it. The Undead Redemption add on is just great too. Fun.

I had great plans to 100% complete the game, but am too lazy to game. It was a great story, and kept me addicted enough to beat it quickly!

I've never posted any poetry here. Take that back.

It's a fantastic, fantastic game, though.
