    Miami @ MD

Nice little run to start the game. Faust is clearly the primary ball-handler. Something about it looks different in the early going.

So after Larranaga called an early timeout, the Terps sat Faust (and Padgett and Pankey). Mosley and Stoglin shared ball-handling responsibilities and Maryland looked unsure about what they wanted to do.

Come on, ACC Network. How do you not give a replay of Turgeon's reaction during Padgett's 3-point play at the end there? I thought he was going to run out on the court himself.

I would say big win if we had any chance at the tourney.

As it is, I'm happy with this win.

Wow, that was some win. Just when I think this team's packing it up, they throw down one of their best games of the year.

Big win as they hopefully play their way into the NIT.

Win out, finish 19-11 9-7 ACC with wins over UNC and UVA and one or two in the ACC tourney, they'll have a chance. End of dream scenario...But nothing wrong with the NIT this year, except to Mosley.

Most importantly, they bounced back from arguably the worst half of basketball we've seen in years (at UVa).

I liked Scott's streetball moves at the end there... only thing that should have come on at the end of the game was a black screen and the word: FIN.

    as in Miami's tourney chances.

Basically have to win out, or take a loss against FSU and at least two ACCT wins.

I was telling somebody. If they somehow win out and make the ACC semis, or go 8-8 (losing to UNC) and get to the finals, I think they get in. In all likelihood, that ain't happenin', but it would be something.

I doubt it. I heard on ESPN Radio recently, with Dick Vitale, that the NCAA is going to try to award better mid-major teams over mediocre big division schools that go .500 in their conference.

MD will need to go pretty far in the ACC tourney to have a shot at the NCAA.

Ugh. The NCAA can't do anything right.

IMO 8-8 ACC record and 2 tourney wins puts them squarely on the bubble. Of course, a lot of that depends on which two teams we'd play in the ACC Tourney.
