As far as Wieters calling the pitches he has to have a pitcher that he can trust to make the pitches he calls.

I am a bit concerned about the 7-8 MPH differential between his FB and Change.

I am sticking with my prior guess that he will not hold up upon repeated trips through a lineup and will end up in the pen.

I think Wada will be fantastic as a starter.

He can spot his fastball anywhere. That's key. He has 4 quality pitches, and he's deceptive when he throws. I think people are seriously underrating Wada.

The 8mph difference between FB and Change is a little concerning, but he does have two more off-speed pitches that he can throw for strikes in any count.

Matusz got hammered last year when he was throwing 87mph fastballs and 83mph changes. Your change is a fat fastball at that point. I think the 8mph difference will suffice, considering Wada's other strengths.

We need to see how he does under pressure. This is the AL East. What happens when A-Gon hits two homers off of him in one game? Does he stay loose or fall apart?
Two homers would make it 2-0. Thankfully, his BB/9 rates for his career are very low. Because he has such good command, I don't see him issuing a lot of free passes. A couple of bombs given up to a pesky hitter will happen...so long as he doesn't put unnecessary men on base.
