Damonte Dodd, PF Joins 2013 Freshman Class
Sounds like a good frontcourt-depth guy, at least. Cool that he's from the Eastern Shore. The only other UM basketball player from the E.S. I recall is the kid (whose name escapes me right now) from Crisfield who was part of the National Championship team and later transferred to Loyola.

EDIT: Meant to put 2012-13 Freshman class in the title. He'll be at UM this fall.

Seen this kid play PLENTY of times as I live in Easton and go to alot of the high school games. Big body kid, very tall. Not a huge frame like Cleare, but a much bigger frame then Len and Weis. Has never played against kids his size, so he is going to be a big coaching priority. He is going to need to learn how to play against guys his size every night. Tons of potential though.

Andre Collins; scored 26 ppg for Loyola. (I had to look it up. It was driving me nuts.)
EDIT: Here's a quick look at Dodd... Can't see much though. If you're paging through, they show Salisbury women's highlights, then MD highlights, then Georgetown highlights, then Dodd.

I could be wrong, but I believe Andre Collins scored the last points at Cole Field House.

Spinnelli was the lead recruiter on him which is significant because the way Spinnelli has worked with Padgett this season and polishing his offensive game in the paint. This kid will be a project, most likely won't be a contributor his freshman year. There has been some talk that he may possibly prep for a year to let him play against some solid competition. So if Spinnelli can polish Padgetts game around the rim in 3 months, imagine what he can do for 4 years with this kid.

High upside, four-year guy. From what I've heard, pretty bouncy. Not refined at all. But no harm here, provided we pull some blue-chippers going forward.* Having guys like this learning at the end of your bench isn't the worst thing in the world.
*FWIW, Baylor boards seem to think Harrisons are a lock for Maryland.
