Colts Reportedly to Release Manning

The whole point is he was released by his former team.

If its down to Arizona, Denver or Miami as reported its reasonable to say that Miami gives him his best shot to win. Especially if Reggie Wayne follows him. That would give Miami a pretty good WR core. Decent defense. And, good weather.

The only real positive in going to Denver would be as you say - the reaction of all the insane Tebow lovers.

If you don't understand that it was in Peyton's best interests to be cut so that he could find a better team for the last years of his career, then I don't know what to say. There's a reason that they he and Irsay "mutually" decided to part ways.

As far as the Dolphins vs. the Broncos, give me the Broncos elite defense with Peyton, Thomas, Wayne, Clark, and the best rushing attack in football from 2011 over the Dolphins solid defense, Marshall, Wayne, and Reggie Bush. It really isn't close when you consider the difference in defenses.

When you factor in that your best shot to make the Super Bowl is to win your division, then go for home field advantage, then he'll also prefer playing the AFC West over the AFC East. Again, the Broncos give him a better chance to win than Miami, so as a Colts fan, I will be very irritated having to go through all this just to watch him fail.

The media absurdity around Manning going to the Broncos would be amazing. Absolutely amazing. Tebow would get traded to the Jaguars or something, maybe?

On the other side, if Manning goes to the Cards, Kolb becomes like a more talented version of Matt Leinart.

Tebow to the Jags would seem like the most logical situation. The Jags fans would welcome it with open arms and Gabbert was pretty sucky his rookie year. It's not like they have to make room for him going forward, but a QB tandem of Tebow and Gabbert would be a house of cards.

I think Manning will go to the Broncos. I think it is the best fit for both sides.

It's the wrong opinion, in fact pretty close to being the complete opposite of what I think would happen. That area down there completely adores Tebow. I'd wager that they'd sell out all their home games the first season if he goes to JAX. I was at a bar in JAX during the first Tebow game last year and the place exploded when the Broncos won...it was like it was the SB or something. It was a cool experience to be there and witness it in person.

Yeah, it may not work out in the long run, but I believe Tebow could be a good fit for that team, similar to Denver in that they have a good defense and a young offense. He'd need a good WR target -- they have absolutely none in JAX -- but he could go down there and electrify the fanbase and win some games on his own. Plus he is always going to be a work in progress. And based on what he did last year, he could actually help that team improve. He did it in Denver.

If you are Elway and the Broncos the Manning situation is a must have. They are looking at a situation where they almost have to put Tebow out there and hope they have an early bye week and can make a switch. In the Manning scenario fans easily will forget what happened last year because its Manning. Manning just has to succeed, if he does not its like "OMG WE GAVE UP TEBOW, WTF."

And I disagree that Tebow to Jacksonville is the next step to relocation. Tebow is a draw in Jacksonville and Gainesville and it could bring some life back to the team. Not saying he will succeed but he can put butts in the seats and they can put better players around him, short term.

You guys are thinking very short term here. Obviously he would be a big draw next year, and maybe another year. But if, like me, you don't think Tebow can be a successful NFL quarterback, all sending him to Jacksonville will do is get the fans' hopes up, and eventually crush them.

Gators fans are nuts. The Tebow hysteria is absolutely ridiculous here in Florida- and by that i mean more ridiculous than nationwide. You have lifelong Dolphins fans here who were rooting for Denver when they played here - all because of Tebow. Gator fans make Redskin fans look somewhat sane.

If Tebow were to get traded to JAX, North Florida would go nuts. Instantly the Jags would at least double their fan base. I agree Tebow will never be a legit NFL QB but these Gator fans dont think that. If he played in JAX he would be given a pass for a long time.
