Ravens free agency
Couple of things...
Ben Grubbs is going to walk along with Johnson. He's going to get a Colts offer pretty quickly.
Laurent Robinson and Lee Evans are both going to get a look.
I'll have some more tomorrow but it's pretty quiet on the Ravens front.

Thanks Miller for the info , even tho it is disappointing. Losing both of Grubbs and Johnson hurt especially Grubbs , but I thought Johnson was definately coming back. Interesting that we are considering bringing back Evans with the season he had prolly cause he cost a 4th round pick, Robinson is an o.k target I think he fits the Dalls O better than ours. I would rather get Josh Morgan than Robinson but our main focus should be locking up McClain or signing a LB than a WR , we could get Wright or somebody with our 1st round pick possibly too.

Nothing unusual. The Ravens are almost always quiet early in FA.

I would love Laurent Robinson. Tall, rangy, speedy receiver who is a big redzone threat. Plays the flanker position very well. We do not have that type of receiver on the roster. We tried to get a similar guy in Malcom Floyd last year, so our interest in Robinson makes sense. We would be very solid in three receiver sets with Torrey as the split-end, Boldin in the slot, and Robinson as the flanker. And flexing Pitta/Dickson would give us an 11 personel with a lot of size and speed that can threaten any part of the field and would be very hard to matchup again.

Laurent Robinson is intriguing. I also wouldn't be against bringing back Evans, honestly. But I'd rather have Robinson.

Could live with Robinson...still feel Plaxico is the guy that makes the most sense for what we need.
Losing JJ is no biggie IMO.
Grubbs will hurt...what do we do at guard and the rest of the Oline...that and extensions for Flacco and maybe Rice will be the telling things of the offseason.

What if it were Cincy going after Webb? I think they have pick #17 this year. Would we be more apt to let him go there despite the fact that they are in our division?

I'm not as worried about losing Grubbs as I was a few weeks ago. It looks as though there will be ALOT of veterans out there to sign and plug in. We might even be able to get a guy as taleneted as Grubbs (who may be slightly overrated by us anyway) for a cheaper price, even though the player won't be a long term solution.
I expect us to draft a center (Konz) and pick up a FA guard, while sticking with McKinnie at LT. In the end, our line will be at worst the same as last year, barring any injuries of course.

Hearing Grubbs has agreed to terms with an NFC team. Don't know who yet.
