MANY many movies like that! Right now... Accepted, with Justin Long, Jonah Hill, Adam Herschman. Inane but hilarious teen movie. Inspiring even.

The only one I can really think of that I have to watch is Bull Durham.

    Gladiator
    Young Frankenstein
Young Frankestein is that perfect example. Its not a great movie but if it is on, there is no way a good person cannot watch it.

I happened to flip on The Natural last night on TCM, at 10:20 at night, but only 6 minutes into the movie. I really hesitated to start watching, because I knew if I watched for more than 5 minutes, I'd watch it all the way through to the end. But I couldn't help myself. On TCM, with no commercial interruptions, there was no way I was going to be diverted. I was up until 12:30 watching it, again.

There are so many reasons I love this movie. Great music, and used really well. Great cinematography. A fantastic feel for capturing the time period in which the movie is set. The acting is top-notch in my opinion. Every scene in the movie has a purpose. And, the story is really compelling. The whole movie so full of imagery that the "unrealistic" feats on the field just naturally fit right in. Finally -- and it goes without saying that this is one of the reasons I love it -- it is about baseball.

I hope it's not on again tonight. I need some sleep.
