The $4.00 bleacher seat promotion has done extremely well. Four of the games are already sold out. Don't you think the O's should do more of these promotions for the slower ticket sale games to get people in the yard? The fans that go do buy food and perhaps merchandise. It's a win win for the O's to get more people in the stands. Are the O's thinking about adding more games for this promotion or doing other deals?

They should have BOGO days. Where you buy one ticket and get another ticket free to another "BOGO" game.

Also. Is it possible to have a "Bark in the Park" day? I have heard they have become pretty popular at other stadiums.

I will gladly pay for admission for my dog as well as myself

I am a HUGE dog guy -- love 'em.

That being said, I can't imagine why ANYONE thinks this is a good idea.

Should be a lot more of these. Easy way to fill the stadium up, the team still gets revenue from food and beverages. It's a great idea.

    Agreed. Awful idea.

Why? A lot of MLB teams have one each year. It helps raise awareness about animals, raise donations, helps find foster homes and adoptions, etc.

If you are worried about dogs going to the bathroom and etc. You may or may not realize that the drunk youths pretty much urinate everywhere inside of the stadium where you can find a closed off corner.

Yea, but the youths don't take craps in the seating bowl -- I'm sure several dogs do that. Also, find two dogs that aren't too keen on each other and watch what happens, plus the barking, etc etc

I don't want to sound like a grumpy gus; I love dogs. I just think bringing thousands of them to a baseball game is a poor idea.

There are plenty of other ways to raise awareness and donations for animal organizations.

Right. We let the team do that on the field.

Also, predicting thousands of dogs is rather ambitious considering we only draw dozens of fans.

Thousands!? LOL you are way over estimating. You may get 50-100 dogs. Maybe you just need to have seen one before you can judge it and just call it an "Awful idea".

Usually this is more of a pre-game event where you can interact with players and players pets. You have to purchase a ticket to attend the game as well for your pet but thats to be allowed inside the stadium.... usually people leave the game after 30 minutes to an hour.

They also block off a section that is right near an entrance, so if you do have to walk your dog you take them outside the stadium and have easy access to come back in. Also, some of the main charities assist with cleanup by having designated areas and workers to assist as well.

What they could do is block off the outfield bleacher area where owners/dogs can have easy access inside and outside the park.

I am not gonna keep running on about it

I'm pretty sure the Indians (and other clubs) do this every year. I've been to minor league games where they do it as well. Its really not as bad as you'd think. I think its a good idea.

Well I've been to "Bark at the Park" here in Richmond at a Flying Squirrels game and I think it is an awful idea. There were easily 100+ dogs there, and keep in mind this is at a AA stadium. Maybe I just don't get it but I have no idea why you'd want to bring a dog to a baseball game.

I am an IT guy. Bandwidth buddy, bandwidth. When was the last time you saw 40,000 people at Starbucks?

How often do you see 40K at an O's home game?

Is it possible that Mr. Angelos would do a "state of the Orioles" address?

    Thanks

This is not a loaded question. I was thinking of the annual address conducted by Steve Bisciotti.
