Under Armour Park at Camden Yards would even work. Fully support that.

    One question:
Have the Orioles ever considered giving out free tickets to schools and/or youth organizations? It goes without saying that thousands of seats sit without a butt in them every night at OPACY. While I know groups do get some seats (and a white tshirt of the supporting player), I encourage you to study if it would benefit the organization to create more of these free packages for youth organizations. While the children would probably have money to spend, I bet their parents would on food and/or merchandise if they didn't pay for a ticket.

I think a filled stadium with fans spending their money on concessions/merch (despite not paying for a ticket) is a whole lot better than an empty upper deck where no money is being spent.

For many years I have been hearing about your upcoming "Free Airfare for Fans from California Night" promotion. Can we anticipate this being instituted this year?

And we're real sure the Orioles would invest that into the team like all the MASN money, right?

Yea, if the naming rights are just gonna line a pocket, forget it.*

*They can call it whatever they want, it will always be "Camden Yards" to me. I've got four framed tickets in my basement from OD 1992. I can call it what I want.

You have a point. How about we win first and then we worry about additional revenue streams.

If only we had a majority owner who was worth a close to a billion dollars.

They basically know what the group sales and what the walk up sales are going to be every year. The season tickets are the biggest things.

That's why they have all these extra charges.

I can tell you right now what the Orioles answer is going to be to many of these ticket questions...."if you had season tickets, you wouldn't face these charges".

That's what it is all about...Its all about encouraging the fan to buy season tickets.
Wouldn't a solution to this problem be to sell General Admission tickets in bundles (say 15 or 30) that can be exchanged individually at the box office for the best available seat at the price level? I would be happy to commit to buying tickets to X-number of games in advance, however my schedule is flexible and I live so close to the stadium that I would like to go when the weather/pitching matchups/giveaway/friends attending/mood makes it particularly desirable for me to do so. I would imagine that many people who live and work near downtown are in a similar situation.

They do that in Harrisburg and even though the team is not one I enjoy, I always buy a bundle of vouchers to support baseball in the region and I exchange them for Baysox games or if a new name like Strasburg or Harper comes through town.

    I particularly applaud this idea.

I always have exceptional seats and get the VIP service that a season ticket holder deserves without having to spend more money than I would. It's a Win/Win in that the Senators can count on my financial participation even though I root against them.

    Ok. Here is a question

A fellow owner has said "To win, you have to have stars. And, for public appeal, you have to have stars."

The Orioles have no stars, they have a potential young star who will be gone at the end of his team control in Matt Wieters.

They have three above average players in Adam Jones, JJ Hardy and (when healthy) Nick Markakis.

Because of poor planning or bad drafting, we have only four players in our minor league who have a ceiling of star (Bundy, Machado, Schoop, and Bridwell).

How do the Orioles and ownership of the Orioles plan on addressing what seems to be the prevailing sentiment among financially healthy ownership groups.

    With Depth...duh!

Why shop at Crate and Barrel when you can just furnish your home at the dollar store instead!

As I just said, all of these ticket questions will be answered in some form where season tickets are brought up...its their standard answer for everything.

If we ask about on field stuff, we will hear that Mr Duquette is working hard, that he knows its a tough hill to climb, etc...again, standard bs stuff.

The Orioles should be willing to come here, take their medicine and be honest with their most knowledgable fans...but they won't do that....how can they be honest with us if they can't even be honest with themselves?

You want this to be for real?

Well let's conduct a real question and answer session where we are allowed to ask follow up questions...and have it be face to face.
I don't understand what you're getting uppity for if your magic 8 ball already has the answers.

Well, since all the important topics have been brought up...

Do you instruct the ushers behind home plate to be ornery? And what's wrong with moving down to snag seats that are closer past the 5th inning when you're only drawing 10k to the Stadium?
