Seems like a mature young man. Here's to hoping he has a great first pro season.

Hope he gets rid of that little "waggle" in his swing, but I'm still very high on him and hope he has a great year.

Looked like he had a nice stance and swing at the plate the other night. He went with an outside pitch and flew out down the RF line. He'll be 21 most of the season, so he was on the young side for his class, and I like that too. I hope he's good enough to start at Frederick and Delmonico is good enough to start at Delmarva.

Waggle? You mean that way he moves the bat a little before he quiets his hands and gets ready to swing?

Yeah, he's still rocking as the pitch is coming, and I wish he'd take a second longer to settle down, stop moving and get locked in for the pitch. Moving around like that if he's drifting back with the bat when the ball is released can and will mess up your timing, and I think it's why it was getting a piece but not getting the head on the ball in that vid. I've seen him do it before, so it's not like it's a one time thing. Just a pet peave of mine when guys have that rocking bat thing going. Some guys use it as a timing mechanism, others it's just nervous energy, but since Gary Sheffield you see it more and more. I always coached my younger kids (11-13) to keep the bat as still as possible and leaning back. When I played I had a problem with the same thing, I had power, but that waggle would screw up my timing. I had a coach out in Delaware that had me mimic Mickey Tettleton one at bat just to see what it would do, and I crushed it about 360 to left center for a HR. That was the end of the waggle

He has looked real good on defense from what I've read. No surprise, given the scouting reports from when he was drafted, but still good to confirm.

Between Esposito, Bundy, Wright and Delmonico the draft class last year is sounding promising.
