Joe Angel was talking about how much better he has looked this spring, last night. Frankly I'm more concerned about the absence of power so far.

I don't think he would purposely pitch around Kelly, a LH batter, with two RHs coming up. Honestly that walk bothers me more than Cabrera's double.

Pitching War is based on strike outs and walks and home runs only. Quality of opponent isn't even factored in. To me their war for pitchers is pretty worthless. Baseball reference is much more sophisticated and pertinent.

Didn't Reynolds start out really slow last year too?

Nice 1-2-3 inning for Matusz. He's pulling himself together after that rough first inning.

Austin grounds out 5-3. 3 up 3 down good inning by Matusz after a shakey first he has pitched well I still believe he needs to start the season in Norfolk and prove himself.

5-pitch inning for Matusz. Hopefully he gets sent out for the 5th.
