Bounceout to second ends the inning. Scoreless inning for Johnson, albeit with a walk.

Angel and Manfra have no idea who the Pirates' new pitcher is, but they say he's absolutely gigantic. Makes CC Sabathia look tiny.

The pitcher is Jose Diaz. Wasn't he in the Orioles' system recently?

The answer is yes. Manfra was googling him during the broadcast.

He's been in baseball since 2001 so he's probably 30 and we had him for four years I think.

Joe and Fred think he throws 100. And they said that they hope he is healthy , Because he sure is big. Admits to being 305.

    Pedro Strop now pitching.

He walks the first batter. Then he fields a bunt and throws wildly to first. Everyone's safe. Two on, none out.

Saw Diaz pitch for Frederick in 2010. He was huge. Lit up the radar gun at Frederick at 94 mph. He was one of the fastest I saw down there. Matuz, only hit 91 for strikes and an occasional 92 for a ball. He pitched at Bowie and Norflok last year. Guess the O's didn't see much in him, although he did have good numbers at Fred and Bowie. Not so good at Norfolk last season.

The batter fails to put down a sac bunt, and instead grounds into a double play.

Two down, winning run at third.

Strop strikes out the next batter on a 3-2 check swing. Nice escape after he got himself into early trouble.

On to the 10th. Just one inning away from the Orioles' sixth tie!

Actually, never mind. They've decided not to play extra innings.

So there it is, folks. The Orioles' sixth tie of the spring. That's a record, as far as anyone knows.

The Devil has come to haunt the $200 Million Yankees and the $175 Million Red Sox this season. He's wearing orange and black.
