A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that the Ravens are making "no progress" in long-term extension discussions with Joe Flacco.

Flacco and agent Joe Linta are known to be aiming high in contract talks, and Flacco recently argued that he's the best quarterback in the entire National Football League. The Ravens may have a problem on their hands if he wants to be paid like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. Flacco, 27, is due a $6.76 million salary and $2.1 million roster bonus in the last year of his rookie deal.

LOL, yeah just what we need to do. This will get done sometime before training camp starts. Flacco will end up getting top 5 QB money, certainly better than Sanchez got in New York. Besides, the Ravens are pretty high on Taylor anyway.

It doesn't matter how high they are on Taylor. He will never play here

Flacco is a crazy person if he really believes that. I was in college with him (when he was at Pitt) and he was a total jackwagon then.

Wow, great insight. Because we all know that the way people act their freshman year in college is pretty much how they will act for the rest of their lives.

Flacco is way over rated in his own mind. I agree I would be looking to draft a new Qb next year.

Must be a pretty big kick in the balls that your alma mater chose Tyler Palko over one of the best QBs in the NFL.

Of course. But he's good enough to be the best QB on the field any given Sunday. Just ask the Patriots.

And Bill Stull too. That's Pitt football though. They get talent and can't get it to produce.
