Seems like a reasonable contract for Lardar. Love that he'll be around for a while.

This is great news.
Probably helps some with cap room this year as well.Last edited by Sports Guy; 04-05-2012 at 12:08 PM.

Yes! Finally some good news this off season. Now they need to get Flacco and Rice done.

Came out of left field, but I'm glad they got it done regardless. Young, and can fill one of two critical areas over the next several seasons. Good news.

I have a feeling that New England is going to be pissed :-) There was speculation that they would try to sign him and give the Ravens their 1st rounder (31st). Awesome for the Ravens!

Ravens agreed to terms with LCB Lardarius Webb on a six-year, $52.74 million contract, including a $10 million signing bonus.
He'll make $18 million in the deal's first two years, and $33.5 million in the first four. Per Pro Football Focus, Webb didn't allow a single touchdown pass in 2011, and opposing quarterbacks posted a miserable 55.6 passer rating on throws into his coverage. Also a playmaker, Webb recorded eight interceptions, including three in the playoffs and had 23 pass breakups. One of the best young corners in football, Webb doesn't turn 27 until October.

Glad to hear this, but how does his new salary effect what we can still do this offseason? Anyone know the implications?
Regardless, very glad that Webb is signed long term. As long as he stays healthy he's going to be a top corner in the league.

This is very good news. The Terminator is one of our best young defenders. He deserved Pro Bowl recognition last season.

If we get Cary Williams signed like Ozzie is saying he is trying to do, our secondary is gonna be good for a while. We will need backups of course but this is a very nice secondary for a good 3 and maybe 4 if these guys keep progressing like I expect them to do.
