    Wishing for less Hunter is futile. Thorne's a hockey nut and leaves the O's for the playoffs and the beginning of the college hockey season. Hunter's the backup and we'll be hearing a lot of him this year.

    BTW, I'm sitting next to a long time scout and he said 3.65 is the fastest he ever timed a guy to first base from the left-handed batters box. 3.1 is a tall tale.
