    I met Dylan Bundy!

Went down to Asheville today for Delmarva's final game. I've been too busy umpiring to catch any of the others. Anyway, I went over to where the Shorebirds were warming up, and Dylan Bundy came out and signed some autographs. Not being prepared with anything to sign, I handed him my new Oriole hat I bought in Baltimore last December when I passed thru. I felt truly priviledged to get this so early in his pro career:

Love to see it but cannot due to FB privacy. Could you put it on Flickr or some other site? Did you actually chat with him a bit? Any other thoughts on the game and players (he axed w/o checking the Minors Forum)? I did see the Vandy alum review, however, but wondering about Bridwell, Nicky D, etc.

Well, that's going to cause me to have to learn something. Will try.

I wasn't taking notes, but I liked Nicky's approach at the plate. He holds his hands high and has a quick, short-type stroke. Had one quality hit where he hit a hard grounder that went by the first baseman.

Michael Givens struggled at short. He sailed two throws over the first baseman's head and then threw one wild that pulled Nicky off the bag. On the final out of the game, the ball was grounded to him, and I just took a deep breath. He made that play.

Tyler Wilson was the starting pitcher, going five innings and allowing two earned runs with four Ks and two walks. The highest I saw him get on the gun was 90.

    Esposito didn't play.
