Good Lord this should be a shut-out (or at least very very unbalanced).
DLR >>>>>>>>> Haggar*
*Although the fajitas at Haggar's Cabo Wabo in Las Vegas are amazing.

Having met both during my years with U.S. Music...Hagar (pre Van Halen), and Roth (post-Van Halen)….I can honestly say that both are genuinely pompous A-holes. Of the two, I think Hagar is, without doubt, the more talented musician, but I never felt his vocals and stage presence were all that good. Plus, his considerable guitar talents weren't allowed with Van Halen. But as a front man, Roth’s stage-presence and vocal presentations were/are far superior.

Well...it's not really Van Halen without DLR.

I've seen Van Hagar twice, and always loved Sammy. He's a wild man in concert and an underrated guitarist.
But the band had a harder nastier edge with DLR. ALL my fav albums of theirs are with DLR. Voted for Dave because of this slight diff.

Gotta go with Diamond Dave. While Sammy was great in his own right from the first Montrose album up to Three Lock Box, it was like trying to replace Raffy with Albert Belle. Just not a good fit. That said, the unsung hero of the band was Michael Anthony. His backing Vocals are sorely missed live.
