DD interviewed during the game tonight...

The image of him on TV sitting between Thorne and Palmer... DD's jacket appears to be about 3 sizes too small... With a look on his face like he just stole cookies from the cookie jar...Palmer is wearing black and orange batting gloves... Just made me chuckle.

There are plenty of guys in the tech industry that are plenty successful that look just like that.

    Didnt hear it all, but
    • After watching Machado in ST he was very impressed, wanted to challenge him at AA, if Buck had his druthers he would be on the major league squad, fully believes he can stay at SS.
    • On Bundy- the great ones don't waste time showing they are great, just like hes doing now.
    • Focused on pitching depth this offseason, average team needed 10 SPs in 2011, but he believes our young guys can step up.
    • On Ryan Flaherty- he quoted Earl Weaver and said draft Shortstops then figure out where to play them

This was at least the third time I have heard him make mention of a different Weaver philosophy. The more I hear of DD, the more I like.

He also touched on J. Pinero. Said he is down in FL getting into shape... Will eventually go to AAA. They imagine he will eventually be their long relief guy (a Simon replacement).

Duquette should focus on RISP rather than OBP.

And he was staked to a 6-0 lead and coughed it up pretty quickly.

Those hits will start falling. It's important that those people get on base to begin with.

I agree, let's give him a chance to build something. He built Montreal and Boston into contenders and he can do it for us. He's not shiek, he's not slick, but he can help us.

The baseball media appears to dislike him because of the way he treated their poor BOS breathen, but that's their problem. Let's move forward and give DD a shot.
