Sometimes you just have to let 'em play.

The O's have four everyday players hitting for over a .340 average with an OPS over a 1.000. Davis, Reimold, Wieters and Jones.

Hardy and Markakis are hitting below .215. We know that is not going to last. They are going to hit.

Meanwhile the O's lead the league in errors with 11. Detroit has one.

However, the O's are in first place, leading the league as a team in OPS (811), Homers (18), Total Bases, and Slugging Percentage (483).

Yeah, sure Davis and Reynolds are going to commit a ton of errors at the infield corners. But maybe, just maybe. Its time to say:

Sometimes you have to let em play and put then in the lineup and see what happens.

Reimold has to be our everyday LF at this point if healthy. I think that Betemit at 3B, Davis at 1B, and Reynolds at DH is the best scenario right now.

Maybe every 4th game. I don't think Betemit should be an everyday fielder.

Wieters has the most errors on the team with 3.
The other 8 errors are distributed 2 apiece between Reimold, Davis, Betemit, and Reynolds.
4 errors at 3rd base so far. Neither of our primary 3rd basemen are doing well there. Maybe one will step up.

This is also not going to last.

    Just sayin'.

Yes, but Andino should have caught Wieters throw on the bounce last night. Sometimes errors don't tell the whole story.

Agreed, But these guys are feeding off each other. One through nine their a pretty offensive group. Offensive whether they are on offense or defensive.

Certainly the plan has been to let Reimold and Davis play. It's a bit easier to stick with that plan since Chavez and Johnson have started the season cold (hitting .067 and .000 respectively, proving once again that spring training stats are nearly meaningless). They've both looked shaky on defense, and I fear that this will be a constant while their offensive performances will wax and wane.
