You guys mind a little AAA intrusion here on the game thread ??? Good.
The Tides' defense was horrible for Eveland tonight, as they were for Bergesen 2 nights ago. For Eveland, they made TWO ERRORS IN THE FIRST INNING leading to 2 unearned runs, plus 1 run that was earned. After getting 5 outs in the first inning and being tagged with a couple of extra unearned runs, Dana Eveland settled down and shut out the AAA-Braves through 6 innings after that.
For Bergesen 2 nights ago, the Tides' "defense" was worse. Not only did the commit 3 errors in 2 innings, but 4 of the 7 hits against Bergy were not hit hard, and 3 of them got through an infield that ......... that isn't exactly reminiscent of Brooks, Belanger, Johnson/Grich, and Powell.
The O's aren't the only ones that have been awful on defense this season.
