    Stu Pomeranz

Pomeranz is off to a terrific start at Bowie. 10.1 inninngs pitched with 18/1 K's to BB's. He was a one time prospect for the Cardinals a second round pick out of high school in 2003, maybe things are clicking for the 27 year old.

One scout told he was throwing 93-95 mph. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on. He'll probably get a promotions to Norfolk soon with his current dominance.

Pomeranz has been dominant so far. In addition to the terrific K:BB ratio Triple Crown mentioned, Stu has yet to give up a run in over 10 IP and has a very nice 0.680 WHIP. I think Tony's right - if he keeps this up a ticket to Norfolk is in his future. What a great acquisition, this is why you role the dice on some guys in the offseason.

I came here to post about this today and saw the thread was already made. Could be an impact arm sometime this season.

Stu was with the Orioles for most of Spring Training and held his own then too.

I was at the Bowie game last night and he dominated, sitting at 95 and topped at 98 with a nasty curve ball, he is ready for a challenge.

He was a bright light for me seeing him in Spring Training. He has the stuff - just needs to keep commanding it. weams and Bolton Bob noted his success in those threads. Let's see how he does in AAA.
