Excellent first performance at Norfolk for Stu, strikes out the side in his only inning of work.

You know it really isnt out of the question that this guy could be capable of pitching in the majors in relief.
Americans love an underdog story. If he makes it it will be very easy to root for this guy.

Let's finalize the deal with the Angels for Gregg and send him to the West Coast closer to his home. Bring up Pomeranz for the road trip to NY and Boston. We might need some K's in the late innings.

I'd love to see him replace Gregg in the bullpen!

Stu goes 2 2/3 innings with 6 K's tonight. Sure, let him do it a few more times but if this guy does continue to do this you have to bring him up to replace Gregg. He looks like he could be more than just serviceable.

Was he originally a starter and is there talk of converting him back to a starter?

Whenever I read his name it always runs through my head like in the Simpsons "Monorail Song", I am clearly not getting enough sleep.
Pomeranz, Pomeranz, Pomeranz...

Stu Pomeranz was very impressive in relief of Tillman, as he set down eight of the nine batters he faced - six by strikeout. Pomeranz has now struck out nine batters without allowing a hit in his first 3.2 innings at the Triple-A level

This is exactly the things he needs to do to get notice. If he keeps this up there will be a "Free Stu" movement.

This guy is becoming really intriguing to me as a RP option. I'd rather see what he can do at the big league level than continue wasting a spot on Aquaman (AKA, Kevin Gregg). How far away is this guy from getting a shot?
