Schrader: 0.90 ERA, .065 BAA
If he only threw more strikes. He's walked 8 in 10 IP while only allowing 2 hits and striking out 15. The kid has a great arm. I have to think he's bound for Bowie by June.

Sweet! He and Wright could make up a nice young fireballing back end in Camden Yards some day. And not giving up on Wright as a starter. Just setting expectations to what most people see him as.

If he can get walks to around 4.5/9 IP, sure. Would actually fit better as a closer, generally entering the game with no one on, than he would in 7th or 8th inning work. Also, needs to show he is improving on in-game endurance and ability to throw back-to-back days. Still work to be done, for sure, but worthy of attention.
In any event, Bowie will be a much better gauge of his potential than HiA.

Schrader got the loss today. Nothing noteworthy except 5 walks in 2 innings.
His ERA is still only 1.02. He has 25 Ks and 15 BBs in 17.2 innings. If only he can harness his stuff.

Remember, no matter how good your stuff is, if High-A hitters are walking at this rate off you then you need to make some adjustments.
