I heard late last night that former Child's Play frontman Brian Jack has passed away. While I wasn't crazy about them musically, it's always neat to see guys from your hometown go nationwide. We hung out in a lot of the same spots, and our paths crossed several times, and they were always pretty cool. Seeing the outpouring for Levon Helm, I just thought Brian deserves an appreciation. After all, as great as Levon was, he never walked into the No Name Cafe 10 minutes before last call and bought a pitcher for our table. Brian did. May you rest in peace.
