I dunno about that - AJ's a pretty good fastball hitter. He should have at least a 1 in 4 shot at putting that ball in the stands. Against a Major-League pitcher, it's unlikely you'll see another meatball like that over the course of an at-bat, so you might as well go up hacking.

Agree with the pitch sequence comment. Just like anything in sports, you can't assume the next events after a given play because the situation has changed. However, I just can't be upset with Jones for going after a 2-0 pitch that was out over the plate. Didn't work out, but I'm not worried about the result.
