He has fallen into the 'fail to care about' catagory.

He must be ready to explode because the Orioles are playing well.

Nestor is the biggest hypocrite of them all. If the Orioles ever make the playoffs he will be the first one hosting live broadcasts and pre-game parties at Pickles.

I don't really know too much about Nestor other than the walkout thing he did a few years ago and the reputation he has here on the board. Also, his stations signal is reportedly strong enough for like a 3 block radius in Baltimore.
Sure, he's negative but it's not like he hasn't had a reason to be negative since the late 90's. If you had to pick a ML team to bash, the Orioles would probably be a prime target due to the flat out ineptness that has lasted almost a decade and a half. Even the biggest homer has to look back and say "Yeah, this has pretty much sucked."
The dude just has a bigger platform than any of us to preach from.
Anyway, I can't fault anyone for bashing the Orioles being bad all this time...and making a buck or two on top of it.
But everyone loves a winner. Hell, I'd love to change my tune about this franchise, I'm sure people like NMS would, too. That's not being hypocritical, that's just being pissed at a franchise for being so bad for so long, sticking through thick and thin and celebrating the good times (if there are any good times ahead).

Moose, you admit to not knowing much about him, so I'll let you slide. The issue is not and never has been that he bashed the O's. We ALL bash the O's. The problem is he bashed Angelos not stop for personal reasons, which contrary to his beliefs, if NOT what most people tune into local radio for.
I will say this. I cannot listen to him on the radio, ever, anymore, but I have met him in person on a few occasions, away from other people, and he was always nice and down to earth. His issue is he plays to a persona when he has a group of people around him, or on his radio station. I'm not sure that radio persona is the real Nestor.

No one cares about Nestor. Fact.
If I asked 100 average baltimore sports fans who he was, there is no doubt in my mine that less than 10 would know. And 5 of them would probably guess a correct answer.
I completely disagree with you Dipper about him being nice and down to earth, in person. I'll leave it at that.

Like I said, it depends on the situation. I went on an Orioles road trip to Yankee Stadium with him, and he was the biggest ass I've ever seen. But I've also met and spoken to him twice when it was just him and I, and he was a good dude. I think as long as he isn't in a group setting, he's okay. But, maybe I just got him on good days???

100 listeners (just a guess) compared to 1,000s who view the Hangout everyday. You may have a bigger audience posting here, especially during the Orioles season.
