Can Ryan Adams Play 3b?
We are winning despite an anemic offense and horrible defensive play at 3b. Adams has always been known to have a good offensive potential. He also has the reputation for being a defensive liability at 2b. So, can we kill two birds with one stone and play him at 3b?

He has played there some in the minors. His arm is good enough and he's actually fairly athletic imo.

Hard hands, bad instincts, slow first step. Arm strength would not be prohibitive but his throws from second are not accurate. My guess is -5 or (potentially much) worse at 3B, but I guess you never know.

His offense and defense are both in question at the ML level at 2B or 3B. You'd be better off with Antonelli and/or Flaherty there, IMO.

I'd like to see Flaherty get some more time. Maybe he can platoon with Betemit (who was awful today) but I think the jury is on Reynolds defensively. In other words Flaherty > Betemit > Reynolds. Hopefully Flaherty learns to hit. He GIPD'd once today and another time FC's and then reached on an error. Flaherty will have to hit in order to get many more looks at 3B. Perhaps Flaherty goes down and Antonelli comes up if Flaherty doesn't make better contact soon. JMO
