I'm more disappointed that Glenn's gone than I am about Martin. Like Kiper said, strength isn't a positive of Martin's. That's not what you're looking for from a tackle.

Another strength of Upshaw's is that TE's will have a really, really difficult time getting separated from him coming off the ball. That's helpful when we play teams like NE.

Guy has 16 sacks in the last 2 years....I doubt he will have trouble playing pass.

I am just saying, what is considered run downs and how do you cycle players in and out on those downs if a team wants to go no huddle? If there is a hole in a guys game the NFL will find it and try to pick it apart.

I agree - and it's not like SEC competition isn't a good test. He's gone up against some stud O-Lines.

I think he's speaking about playing pass coverage, not necessarily rushing the passer.

That said, I'm the one who's been saying he'll have trouble rushing the passer consistently in the NFL. I know what he produced at Alabama. With his arm length, he's going to have a hard time getting past NFL tackles and getting to the QB. In fact, there are only two players in the NFL in the last ten years with arms his short or shorter that have recorded double-digit sacks in a season over the last ten years: James Harrison and Robert Mathis.

Look, if he turns into Lamarr Woodley, I think we'll all be pretty stoked about that. My point is simply that I think the Ravens had better options at their spot. They were ones with lower floors however, and I'm sure having a reliable contributor is something that mattered to the Ravens.

Ugh. There goes Kendricks. I was REALLY hoping he was sitting there for us. He's going to be a great player.

David's too small and gets pushed around a lot. And plays OLB, which we just filled. I'm not terribly interested in him. Kendricks would've been a great choice for a successor to Ray.
