First, it was obvious that the only guy the Ravens wanted was Kevin Zeitler. The Bengals took him and the trade was made.

Second, Oz must have not been in love with Hightower. He could have easily traded up with the Patriots from #29 to #25. We would have only had to give up a 4th round pick. I don't know why we didn't do it, but Oz must have had concerns.

Third, we will get a good player with our first pick. The choices: Hill, Konz, Upshaw, Glenn, David, Randle and Branch will all be there. The Rams and Colts could take one or two of those choices. Who we will take with our first pick is a mystery because I just don't know who the Ravens really like. Gun to my head, I go with LG/LT Cordy Glenn. He steps right in Day 1 for Grubbs with the potential to be a Pro Bowl Left Tackle or Left Guard.

Finally, our division just got a whole lot tougher.

    Browns got Richardson and Weeden.
    Bengals got Kirkpatrick and Zeitler.
    Steelers got DeCastro.

I trust Oz, but I really hope this doesn't turn into a Kindle/Cody kind of draft.

I'd like Glenn or Lavonte David or Upshaw....I dont see them using that 4th to trade back up ..But thats just me.... I was big on Hightower ...But atleast Sheetsburgh didnt get him.

A lot of solid options if we stay at 35. Wouldn't be surprised if we move down again if we can stay in top 45-50. Have had a gut feeling about David since this morning so I'm going to stay with him as my selection. Still, could be a handful of quality guys.

This is what Scouts Inc says about Glenn

However, there are concerns expressed by NFL teams regarding his motivation level and inconsistent effort. Will he stay motivated once he's cashing a big paycheck?"

Doesnt that sound like Gaither ....If they are going Tackle ...Id prefer Jon Martin

I really like Glenn's versatility and size. To be able to snag him at 35 would be really good value. I still have a bit of a man crush on Stephen Hill, I think he could grow into a real difference maker on the outside.

I doubt you could drop 10 selections and still get David. The Ravens need some quality as the Bengals are having a monster draft so far.

I dont think the Ravens can afford to draft a project with their top pick.

I think they could do it in the 2nd round. I certainly would have Hill lower than other guys in the pecking order of who I think they take but I think he's a possibility.

Not with the 1st pick. I think we may move up in the 2nd round to get him. Just a hunch. Who the hell knows though?

After the first couple picks, all these projections and mock drafts go out the window. They end up looking almost as bad as my March Madness bracket.

Let's say the Rams go OT Bobbie Massie and the Colts take OT Jonathan Martin(Luck's teammate at Stanford). What about C Peter Konz with our first pick and ILB Mychael Kendricks with our second pick?

So the Ravens move back just 6 spots and still have their pick at a number of quality guys, and they pick up a 4th round pick (which is what we gave up for Evans I believe). I love me some Ozzie and DeCosta. Best FO in football, hands down.

Your logic here doesn't really make a lot of sense. You say its "obvious that the only guy" they wanted was Zeitler and they "must have had concerns" about Hightower and you determined that because they could have traded up by only giving up a 4th rounder to get up to 25. Meanwhile, Zeitler was taken at 27. If he was the only guy they wanted they could of easily traded up to get him.

I think we had a number of guys we would have been satisfied taking at our slot but they didn't fall the way we wanted. They know Konz would be a stretch at 29, so they figured they could slide back a few spots, still have him on the board most likely, and acquire another pick.

. Again, wouldn't surprise me if they move down but anyway here are the guys I think are in play if we stay at 35.

    Glenn
    Silatolu
    Konz
    Upshaw
    David
    Hill

I really don't think they will move down again. I see them grabbing Konz if he is there at 35 (which I think he will be). Just my personal opinion though.
