I just don't see the Ravens pulling the trigger on Hill at 35 even if he is there. They have Quan and Torrey as the guys for now and I think they like the potential that Doss and Williams have. I see a mid round receiver if he is there and/or them grabbing a vet receiver late in free agency.

It's a pretty good deal, would have loved Hightower to fall to us but didn't happen . Personally if they are still there at 35 I would take Glenn or Hill, give me our future LG/LT or our future WR to team with Torrey in a year or two. I'm a lil surprised we past on Upshaw, I think he goes before we pick tomorrow. I don't know what 'Bama games you have watched , but I'm watch them pretty often and this kid is a beast.

I really, really wanted DeCastro. I was hoping they would trade up for him. Having him go to Pittsburgh is going to bite us. He's Steve Hutchinson for them for the next 10 years.
That said, once he and Hightower were off the board (would not have traded up for him), I was glad to see them trade back.
They can draft Konz, draft the LB from Cal, then use the fourth to trade up in the third and grab a return guy. Good job.

I think that the Ravens were interested in McClellin, DeCastro, Zeitler, Mercilus and Hightower. I think that the Ravens were really interested in DeCastro and Zeitler, but that is just my opinion. I wasn't impressed with the players selected from #29 to the end of the draft. All of those guys have talent, but I think the Ravens can really do some damage with an extra 4th round pick. I am not against the Ravens trading back a few spots if they can net another #3/#4 selection out of it.
The Rams are in a position to do some real damage and I feel that they could draft Hill with the first pick in the second round and focus on the OL with the 7th or 13 pick in the second round. If I am the Rams I am trying to find a way to land Hill, Glenn and Martin in the second round.
If I am a Rams fan I would not be happy with the loss of Blackmon as the Rams were in a great position to move up to get Blackmon. We will see how this plays out, but the Rams had so many holes to fill. If they can address the OL and WR in rounds 2 and 3 than it should still be considered a decent draft.

I thought that the Ravens would move up to take DeCastro and I thought he was a pretty safe pick with tremendous ability. He also fit a position of need for us. Maybe the Ravens thought that once the Steelers grabbed DeCastro they would be in position to land either Hightower, Mercilus or Zeitler, but when those guys went off of the board it made sense to trade back and land a quality player and gain a pick that can be traded to aid us in moving up or used to fill a hole.
I think it was a smart deal by the Ravens if they had guys like Hill, Glenn, Martin, Konz, David graded as high as the players available to them if they had stayed at 29.

There is the speculation and potential interst to move down yet again. If Jenkins is there at 35 I say we'll prob get the right offer and move down again.

I agree to some point, but I would want a #1 next year or would want to a deal like:
Patriots 2nd round picks 16th and 30th
Eagles 2nd round picks 14th and 19th
Rams 2nd round picks 7th and 13th
I would also be interested in teams drafting high in the 2nd round because their high 3round picks would be desirable.
A move down could give the Ravens 5 pics (maybe 6) in the 43 through 110th overall selection. There are some good football players on the board and the Ravens could do some real damage with those selections IMO.
I really wonder where the Ravens have Konz, David and Glenn ranked. We would have a clue right around the time we pick at #3. The Ravens may be in a prime spot to move down. I doubt that the Rams and Colts will move down, but I suppose that the Colts could. The haul could be a killer haul if some team would entertain giving up a #1 next year to get the guy that they want.
