Winning April
A win tonight guarantees a winning month of April. I know it's not that relevant when you consider there are 5 more months to go or that the schedule hasn't been the most difficult. BUT isn't it a good feeling to put it in the books as a positive?
With last September, that's two winning months in a row. Baby steps!
For reference here were the records by month last year:
April 12-13
May 12-16
June 11-14
July 7-20 (yikes)
Aug 12-17
Sept 15-13

How far back do you have to go before September last year to find another winning month?
Hmm... Looks like we won the last 3 months of 2010 (though October only had 4 games):
2010:
August: 17-9
September: 14-12

Past experience shows that a winning April says very little about how the rest of the season will go. I'd still like to get as far over .500 as we can, and stay over .500 as long as we can. The higher over. 500 we get, and the longer we are over .500, the better the chances that we can sustain it (obviously), and the more interesting the season will be.
