Nat's calling up Harper on Sat
He is hitting 250/333/375 so it seems a bit early to me. Takes Zimmerman's spot on the roster.

On Sat., the Nationals will place 3B Ryan Zimmerman on the 15-Day DL & recall OF Bryce Harper, who will make his MLB debut at Dodger Stadium

He could be up in the majors until Zimmerman is healthy. I doubt he stays the entire season.

Terrible idea from a business standpoint for him to make his his debut away from Washington.

Regardless, I still think it's a bad idea for him to make his debut on the road. Especially if this is only a 15-day callup.

If he hits, and the Nats are in contention I don't see how they can send him down.
Of course given his numbers at AA last year and AAA so far this season I think he is going to struggle.

Always cool to see a teenager play Major League Baseball.

Glad that it's a night game so I can catch it after Jazzfest.

I already had tickets to Sunday afternoon's game, and I've now go tickets for Saturday as well. I regretted not jumping on the Strasburg debut a couple years ago when I was still living reasonably close enough to go.
I'm excited to see Harper's first game even though I'm not a Nats fan in the slightest. It's not going to compete with when I went to Wieter's debut but it's cool to have a chance to catch a possibly meaningful moment in baseball history.

Living in Nova, it's kinda hard not to pay attention to the Nats this year. No team could ever replace the Orioles as my favorite team but it's good to see the Nats doing well and now calling up a really exciting prospect.
