Overall Football Traits
Production 3 "2008: (13/0) 11-1-0 2009: (13/0) 12 tackles 2010: (13/12) 35-3.5-1 2011: (11/11) 20-3.5-1.5 Career: (2008-'11) 1 PBU, 1 blocked kick "
Height-Weight-Speed 2 Slightly below average height and prototypical bulk. Arms are slightly shorter than ideal (32.7') but possesses big hands (10.2'). Did not run at the combine but clocked in at 4.83 at his Pro Day which is excellent for his position.
Durability 3 Injured his ankle against Georgia Tech and was forced to miss the SEC championship game the following week as well as the Outback Bowl against Michigan State. Also missed the Coastal Carolina game in 2011 with strained back.
Intangibles 2 Hard work and well respected by coaches and teammates. Elected as a team captain in 2011.

Defensive Tackle Specific Traits
Versus the Run 3 Displays adequate core strength and a solid overall anchor. While he possesses natural strength he doesn't always use it functionally and could do a better job of playing with better overall pad level. When staying low and firing off the ball can manufacture a solid initial surge on blockers. Can improve hand usage in a phone booth in terms of shedding and redirecting to find the ball. Lacks an elite anchor and overall balance to consistently hold up against double teams. While he struggles to quickly transition when changing directions he has enough closing burst to make up ground once pointed in the right direction.
Pass Rush Skills 4 Displays just average first step quickness and can do a better job of staying low out of stance. Too often he plays with a high pad level allowing blockers to get into his pads. Flashes an adequate bull rush when staying low but lacks elite finishing strength at this point. Needs development as a counter puncher at this point. Shows an above-average closing burst to get home and secure sack when getting a clear run at the quarterback. Shows adequate instincts in this area and can sniff out screens.
Quickness (hands/feet) 3 No information available at this time
Toughness/Motor 3 Motor is adequate and will chase in pursuit. Shows good fight in one-on-one situations but can give more consistent effort against double teams. Overall instincts are average at best and can be late finding the ball on occasion.

Agreed to terms per zrebiec twitter. Only leaves Upshaw, Pierce, and Streeter left to sign.
